I have replaced the seat adjustment switches in my 2004 Mercedes-Benz a handful of times - I even published a video here that shows how to do the removal and replacement of these switches ( • Mercedes w463 G-Wagen SEAT CONTROL SWITCH ... ).
The problem is, this only seemed to fix the problem for a couple of weeks, if that. The last one I replaced only fixed the problem for a day! Why does it seem like these switches keep going bad!?
After 4 years of research, I discovered a TSB (technical service bulletin) from Mercedes that describes the solution for this problem, and outlines the repair process.
