On this day in late summer/ early fall, we took a break from the hot and humid Tokyo to venture north to Akita. We stopped by a city called Semboku in Akita to enjoy their famous Nyuto Onsen and the deepest lake in Japan - Tazawako before ending the night with Akita cuisine featuring their famous kiritanpo nabe.
