Last night the winds in Sattal were extremely strong. In the morning when I stepped out, I noticed several fallen trees along the roads and around the lake area. It looked like the storm had really passed through the hills during the night. The locals had even built a temporary bridge where the earlier one had broken.
I started the day by visiting Hidimba Temple again. For the past few days I’ve been going there regularly, and today I decided to help clean the temple campus. Because the temple is surrounded by many large trees, the ground was covered with fallen leaves after the storm. It felt good to help clean the place a bit.
During the day I also met some really cute dogs around the temple area.
Later I met Lalit ji from Suryagaon, who takes care of the water supply for Hidimba Temple. We walked into the forest to open the water pump, and he showed me a natural spring hidden in the jungle. The place was peaceful, quiet, and incredibly beautiful.
After the crazy winds last night, today turned out to be a calm and meaningful day in the hills.
