Excerpts from my December 1, 2018, chase in west central IL. Full video sequence of cyclic supercell was taken along SR 97 from northwest of Petersburg to Havana. A second supercell up the road from me also put down a tornado, and there was a moment when I had two in sight at once, but this storm to my west was closer and offered much better visibility. Sorry for the shakiness and wandering in spots--I forgot to grab my tripod and did my best with hand held.
This chase and the video are dedicated to my friend and fellow storm chaser Ben Holcomb, and to the memory of his beloved mother, Ginny.
