The first thing nobody tells you about adventure motorcycle riding is that your ADV bike isn't just a bike. It's also a clothing rack, food prep station, picnic table, shelter support, and so many other things. Your adv riding gear EXPLODES the second you start setting up camp and yet somehow manages to be successfully packed on the bike again the next morning.

Second, you can stop worrying about securing your adventure riding gear, because it's pretty much impossible. Your stuff will always be vulnerable but that's okay because the Third thing to know is that nobody wants your adventure riding gear and motorcycle camping gear. Motorcycle gear theft is very rare in the ADV world.

Fourth...the fear you feel as a new adventure motorcycle rider really never goes away....but the fifth thing to know is that somehow, help always just appears when you need it most.
