How to Harvest & Make Wild Sumac Seasoning + Lemonade with Carbon 8 Water

1️⃣ Find bright red, smooth & or fuzzy sumac clusters in late summer (staghorn or smooth types). Avoid poison sumac, the poison variety is white, not red so easy to identify!
2️⃣ Remove berries from stems and dry the clusters in a warm spot until completely dry; you could air dry, oven dry, or use a dehydrator for this.
3️⃣ Grind berries into a tangy powder. Sift the powder away from the tough shells
4️⃣ Use the powder to season veggies, beverages, meats, teas, or salads.
Sumac Lemonade Recipe:
• Ice
• 1 tsp sumac powder
• 1 tbsp raw honey
• Pinch of Himalayan salt (optional)
• Top with sparkling water (I use my @carbon8water machine!)
