A highly rated player who came through the ranks and spent 14 years at the club between 1983 and 1997. Injury and illness (glandular fever ruled him out for the 1986/87 season) disrupted a promising career with the Potters. Other than that on his day he really did look the complete midfielder. Highlights include helping the club win the Second Division title in 1993 although he missed the 1992 Autoglass Trophy final due to suspension. He stayed at the club right up until the final season at the Victoria Ground before eventually moving in to the lower leagues.
