Drawing sits at the heart of Dwyer’s process, folding into painting, printmaking, and sculpture to reimagine the familiar through exuberant colour and lively mark-making. Her compositions move between figuration and abstraction, processing everyday experience and a sense of play; surfaces retain traces of revision, offering a navigable visual history.

We also dive into Penti Menti, Dwyer’s first institutional solo exhibition in Ireland, presented at Uillinn: West Cork Arts Centre and touring to Highlanes Gallery, Drogheda and Limerick City Gallery of Art. Taking its title from pentimento (“to repent”), the show centres on transformation: layering and erasing, burying and excavating how memory and time shape body and landscape. New large-scale paintings, drawings, and ceramic sculptures affirm vitality in electric yellows, luminous pinks, and deep marine blues while acknowledging vulnerability. Underlying figuration is fragmented, reconfigured, or partially obscured, mirroring the psychological layers of human experience.
