Ahead of ‘#83 poster launch, Ranveer Singh and “Kapil's Devils” assemble at Chennai’s Chepauk Stadium



#Bollywood actor #Ranveer Singh, who has delivered phenomenal performances in recent past with films like Bajirao Mastani, Padmaavat and the most recent Gully Boy, is back to work for Kabir Khan’s upcoming film ‘83’. The star is now gearing up to portray the role of Kapil Dev in the film that will trace India’s victory in the #1983 world cup,

Ranveer has shared a picture from Dharamshala, where the entire star cast of the movie has arrived for some practice. “KAPILS DEVILS DESCEND ON DHARAMSHALA!!! it’s on!!! @83thefilm @kabirkhankk,” he wrote alongside the picture. In the snap which was shared on Ranveer’s Instagram handle, he is seen having a gala time with his teammates.  Some of the comments were quite hilarious. Rohan Shreshta asked Ranveer, “Now that you are married, are you Couple Dev?”. Harrdy Sandhu posted a few fire emojis and wrote, “Aag bhai log!”

From Ranveer, #Tahir Raj Bhasin, #Saqib Saleem, and #Ammy Virk, #Jiiva, to #Sahil Khattar, #Chirag Patil,and #Adinath Kothare, the on-screen squad can be seen having fun together in a pool.

As per media reports,as the film will be released in three languages - Hindi, Tamil and Telugu, the makers decided to host the poster launch in Chennai to help generate buzz about the movie among the South audience.


The sports drama that traces the events of India's historic win at the 1983 World Cup is touted to be one of the biggest sports films of all time. Also starring
