Anthem Beta - What You Need to Know!! (2019)

-start at level 10
-begin somewhere past the beginning of the Story
-Can go up to Level 15
-You will start off with the Javelin 'Ranger' which is the balanced one that is the most versatile of the Javelins and later on we unlock another to play with. I don’t know which one at this time or if you get to choose. In the real game you unlock 4 of them intermittently until you reach Level 24. This is what I am most excited about because the Alpha I played in December only --allowed use of the Ranger.
-We will be playing a Story Mission, Stronghold and access to Fort Tarsis which is the hub world where you can upgrade, buy equipment and take on missions.

Arguably one of the most promissing aspects of Anthme isn’t even the game but rather how the developers at Bioware are apparently listening to the community already. Unlike so many other big AAA or should say BBB game devs lately (hearty chuckly). I am so original. like Bungie, Bethesda and Blizzard who make the game, then maybe keep you updated with what they are working on but ultimately only care what the community is saying when you find a glitch to exploit or maybe if the community complains so much about a single thing that they get bad press and are forced to act.

-Bioware heard a call that had been going out about there being no real social space for people to hang, meet up and show off their stuff which is a staple for a thriving game community like what Bioware hopes to cultivate.
Michael Gamble, the lead producer on Anthem, is very active on Twitter and said that they actually added a social hub space to the Fort Tarsis area where up to 16 players can interact. This is a small step, but it was admitted by another one of the developers that it was not planned. Meaning it was added strictly due to a fairly strong response from the community. I am still cautious since they are ultimately published by the loot box king scum of the earth EA, but if nothing else this really shows that if something is screwed up Bioware does seem to care and want to add and adjust the game to suite the desires of the community. Heck, Mike Gamble has even given away codes for the Alpha to people on his twitter feed that didn’t have them. Just these little things along with the regularity of dev streams and the openness they express really make me think this game has a future. But I digress.
Lastly,

Free Play will also be available for exploration in the demo. Kind of like a bigger and more interesting version of the Destiny free Roam areas where you can fly around, collect some loot and shoot aliens. It seems that it will be more populated in the full game where you can go on various missions as well. This is what I am very curious about since that area seems to be one of those things that will likely make or break the end game. Once you do all the missions and such, will it be interesting enough to fly around in when you need to farm materials for upgrades, replay missions, test out Javelin builds etc… This is still a big question mark. Will it feel open or just baren and just suck the life out of me because I will see the untapped adventure potential as I then get a smile on my face from happily flying around in my Iron man like Javelin suite.

Playing the Demo will translate into a full release reward also according to Mike Gamble- Confirmed to be a Decal
