1990’s KDK 14” High Pressure Exhaust Fan

Описание: These Japanese high pressure exhaust fans have popped up every once in awhile in my life. I've seen them in public buildings, hotels, malls, warehouses etc, but the most memorable was when I got to switch a KDK 60GSC on & off in the parking lot of a hospital when I was a little kid. I was intimidated, yet amazed by the size of the thing & how the blade looks. That's the main reason why I like these fans so much, and have that aforementioned 24" KDK on my wishlist.

2 years ago, I got the chance to visit Arjuna Jaya flea market in Bandung, accompanied by ‪@Jeff_FanCollector‬. My goal that day was to purchase an exhaust fan for a paint booth I was planning to build, but even though that particular market had lots of exhaust fans for sale, I failed to find any that's small enough & powerful enough for a small paint booth, until I came across a shop which just opened by the time I'd decided to walk out of that market. That shop had 2 of these in stock, and I chose one that had less rust on it. Fast forward to when I had this fan installed at the spot where I want it, my design for that paint booth had changed quite dramatically, which means this fan is no longer needed. What a great way to plan things right?

Another reason why I chose not to use this fan is because it was in quite nice shape when I got it, and I don't want to ruin it with paint particles, which is why I ended up purchasing a 14" Lion branded heavy duty exhaust fan in poor shape for my paint booth, leaving this fan in its spot on my outdoor workshop which exposed it to sunlight & rain, which is why the label is now a bit faded & the rust has spread even more. I don't know what to use this fan for now, and if I still don't have any plans for it in the next couple of years, I'll probably end up selling it. What I can say is that this fan has proven itself to be quite useful at times when I needed to grind/sand anything, and clean really dusty stuff.
