Sometimes it’s fun to play with alternative materials and try to re-create a process usually done with more expensive tools. This video is focused on using kinetic sand to cast pewter. Pewter casting is one of the most popular demos and early hands on experiences taught in the SCA, Society for Creative Anachronism, which is a educational living history group located around the world. Kinetic sand is easily and locally available for most areas (or online) and solves one of the issues of acquiring the right materials. I wanted to showcase a different way of doing it.
