Chennai-born M D Thirush Kamini recently became the fifth Indian woman cricketer to score 10000 runs in senior cricket this October. The stats speak for themselves.
She burst onto the scene as a child prodigy, making her international debut as a 16 year old and lived up to her initial promise, winning accolades and creating records.
In 2013, she became the first Indian Cricketer to score a century in the ICC women's world cup and followed it up with an almost double hundred in Test Cricket.
The first decade of her career was a showcase of her talent.
The latter part of her career in the run-up to her recent milestone of 10,000 runs is a testament to her character.
