In this video, I’m reacting to Russia and China Didn’t Help Iran. Why? and this one was genuinely fascinating because it gets right into a question that I think a lot of people were asking. If Iran has worked so closely with Russia and China, then why did neither of them step in when things escalated? That is exactly what pulled me into this video.
What I found most interesting here is that the answer seems to be less about friendship and more about cold strategy. The video argues that Russia, China, Iran, and even North Korea have often been grouped together like some kind of solid anti-West bloc, but in reality that relationship is not as simple as people make it sound. They may align on certain goals, share military knowledge, help each other diplomatically, and cooperate when it suits them, but that does not automatically mean they are true allies in the sense of going to war for one another.
That was probably the biggest takeaway for me. Iran may have expected more support based on how much cooperation there has been, especially with Russia, but when the situation became truly dangerous, the limits of that relationship became obvious. The video makes the point that Russia is already deeply tied up with Ukraine, has limited capacity, and cannot afford to overextend itself in another major conflict. From a practical point of view, that makes sense, even if it looks brutal from Iran’s side.
And honestly, that was one of the most striking parts of the reaction for me. If you are Iran and you have been sharing military technology, helping sanctions evasion, and building closer ties, only to get what feels like verbal support when everything falls apart, that has to be a huge reality check. The phrase that really hangs over this video is basically: who are your allies when it actually counts?
The China part is also what makes this topic even more interesting, because unlike Russia, China is not currently bogged down in a war like Ukraine. So then the question becomes: if China still does not intervene, what does that tell us? It suggests that both Russia and China may see Iran as useful, but not worth a direct confrontation with the United States and its partners. That is a very different level of relationship than a real defensive alliance.
If you enjoy videos where a finnish girl reacts to world events, military strategy, and geopolitical betrayals from a very honest outsider perspective, this one is definitely for you. It also brings a finnish perspective because I’m reacting in real time to a power dynamic that looks very different once you strip away the headlines and actually look at what countries are willing to risk for each other.
Let me know what you think in the comments. Were Russia and China ever really Iran’s allies, or were they just strategic partners until things got too serious? And if you were Iran, would this change how you view every partnership going forward?
