This video shows the differences between our different chipping hammer retainers. Solid Round Retainers for point chisels, you must remove retainer to change bit. Solid Oval Retainers for any style bit, you can remove the bit without taking the retainer off. The Quick Change Retainer for any bit style, You can easily remove the bit by pulling down on the spring action mechanism.
Rivet busters only use one type of retainer.
