So glad this got a sequel, Rival Schools 2 returns with a large graphical overhaul on the Dreamcast. Almost all the characters from the original are back with more moves, more schools and an even bigger team. You can choose 3 fighters now, which allows crazy team up supers, but at least you can counter them this time by having your partner tag in for a quick first hit wins scenario. As I said before the whole school theme allows such hilarious and clever design. You got a school reporter armed with a camera and even a swimmer who can paddle through the air lol. The focus is definitely just having fun and not super serious. The story is presented like a manga with some alternate paths depending on your performance. It's great to see the endings for everyone because it gives off that coming of age anime feel, the roster is amazing. There's a lot of Capcom fighters that I would love to see return again, but this one is definitely among the top of the list.
