The conservatory, a non-profit community music school in White Plains, was founded in 1929 and boosts alumni the likes of Garrick Ohlsson and William Wolfram, both concert pianists, Minday Kaufman, New York Philharmonic flutist and Todd Machover, composer and MIT professor.
