Pon Rangrik is the 2nd gen sculpture artist from Karmarong. Karmarong falls in the Mugum Karmarong which is the rural municipality located in Mugu district of Karnali province of Nepal. This traditional way of making this sculpture by hand is passed down to him from his father who was one of the first person to adapt this skill in their community . Now as he has been doing this work for 50years he is a claimed master in this field. He has taught many now working artisans under him including the next gen sculpture artist. I want to protect and keep it going even after my demise encouraging the next gen of sculptor.
Even after all the hardship he has faced since the young age of 13 he is happy and satisfied with his life and express how he pray for everyone wellbeing.
