🐫 CAMEL POSE 🐪
Here are three different variations of camel pose that you can take depending on your back & core flexibility. This pose is a great heart opener and release for the chest and low back, as well as a nice stretch for the psoas and hip flexors. A good one to take often if you do a lot of sitting throughout the day. Be sure to ease into and out of it though, as it can be a bit intense on the low back for some people and can cause dizziness. This is one of the few yin poses that we don’t typically hold as long as most due to its intensity and the fact that it is not the most relaxed pose ever.
Camel pose is a great one for targeting the kidney and urinary bladder meridians (water element).
**Contraindications: Do not attempt camel pose if you have any neck or back injury unless advised by your healthcare physician. Inversions are also not recommended for those with high blood pressure, glaucoma, or upper body infections.
