We bought the Mahindra XEV 9E (79 KW Pack 2) because we wanted to go on long road journeys in an electric vehicle. We wanted to challenge ourselves. We wanted to do something a bit whacky, for us at least. We also desperately wanted to own an electric car, and the XEV 9E is a beautiful vehicle for our EV adventures.

And so, in November 2025, we travelled from Jaipur to Goa over four days and nights, arriving on the 5th day in South Goa. Our route went like this --- Jaipur to Indore (1 night), Indore to Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar (1 night), Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar to Pune (2 nights), and Pune to Goa.

The journey was planned well, with EV chargers marked on our many charging apps in advance. Some chargers failed, some worked supremely well, and on some days, we got delayed because we had to stop 4-5 times to find the perfect charger! But the challenge was worth it.
