Описание: Today I had the day off so after we got all the chores and errands completed we headed off to Pine Grove Furnace State Park up in PA. It has become one of my favorite places to go to get away from it all and be immersed in nature. I was able to fish a few hours on Mountain Creek and finally had some success after being shut out the first time I was here back in the spring. Several small fish were caught (and missed!) but the gem of the day was this wild native brook trout that was close to 12 inches long. The water level was frightfully low and it’s a wonder any fish were in there at all. They are tough little buggers. Fall foliage was in full swing and we pretty much had the place to ourselves.
