After a foggy start to the day, first stop was the Bethungra Rail Spiral. This rail loop was constructed to reduce the gradient trains had to climb getting from Melbourne to Sydney. I was lucky enough to witness a train using the loop.
I visited a few sites in Junee. The lookout was okay, but a rough road in and too many trees. The wetlands are probably better seen at dawn and dusk. If I wasn't passing through, I might have spent more time there.
The Junee Licorice and Chocolate Factory was a real surprise. Well worth a visit. I bought some white chocolate and honeycomb, and some chilli chocolate. I also enjoyed brunch. Lots on the menu.
