Описание: Suspended TMC MLA Humayun Kabir has announced he will go ahead with laying the foundation stone of a “Babri Masjid” in Beldanga today — even as the administration has not granted permission.

Kabir stepped out this morning claiming police support and adequate security. He insists the event will be held under constitutional rights, and says lakhs may attend with 2,000 volunteers deployed. He has also hinted at a “surprise.”

The move comes despite objections from Governor C.V. Ananda Bose, who warned of law-and-order risks. Kabir hit back, calling the concerns politically motivated.
Tensions are rising in Beldanga as posters of the proposed ‘shilanyas’ have been torn down.

Kabir has warned of blocking highways from Rejinagar to Behrampur if authorities try to stop him.
With his long history of party-switching and reports of him planning his own outfit, the timing — December 6 — is being viewed as a deliberate political message.
