Many believe that Edge started the "You suck!" chants against Angle on the April 13, 2002 episode of SmackDown, and while that may be true to some extent, the first time the crowd chanted it along to his music in that way was ACTUALLY on the February 22, 2001 episode of SmackDown. Skip to 0:36 and 2:44 to hear it!
During a promo against The Rock to hype their then-upcoming match at No Way Out, Angle instructed the TV crew to play his music as a dig against The Rock's new song 'Pie'. He then made them play it again, but this time the crowd got the idea to chant "You suck!" along with the melody; this being more than a year before Edge came up with the idea. So technically, Angle himself originally got the chant going unintentionally!
