This is Great Wass Island in Beals Maine. At its southern end is Great Wass Island Preserve, acquired by The Nature Conservancy in 1978. It is over 1500 acres with an incredible 4.5-mile hiking trail that will take you through forests and wetlands to the granite ledges of the bold coast of Maine. In this video, you also get to see the home of Downeast Institute. I was on Great Wass Island in the spring shooting a project and wanted to share this natural gem of Downeast Maine with you!
