Box.
The Montblanc Le Petit Prince pens come in the well-known luxury gift boxes with the Montblanc trademark on top of the box. The regular versions come in the rectangular box, while the Doue and the Solitair version come in the square box. The inside of the boxes are covered in soft velvet, so the pens will not get any scratches. If you like to give a set, it is possible to turn around the lid of the squared box, so you can give two pens in one box. The box has a carton sleeve in dark blue with a print of the Little Prince on his comet with the fox. Inside this box you can find a small booklet with information about the Le Petit Prince collection and the warranty and service guide that comes with the pens.

Editions. (colour options)
The Le Petit Prince collection by Montblanc is offered in three editions; the regular version, the Doue and the Solitaire. The Solitaire is available in a Le Grand sized Fountain pen and Rollerball and a Midsize Ballpoint pen. The Doue comes in the Classique size as a fountain pen, rollerball and ballpoint pen and the Regular edition is available in both the Le Grand size and the Classique size in all three writing modes.

Features.
The shape of the pen is inspired by the iconic Meisterstuck. The cap band does say the words ‘’Montblanc’’ and ‘’Meisterstuck’’.
Before travelling back to his asteroid, the little prince tells the pilot he will be able to hear his laugh any time simply by looking at the stars and remembering. As a reminder of the laughter in the stars, a golden star adorns the clip of this edition.
A sentence from the original novel has been laser engraved into the crown of the writing instruments: ‘’Créer des liens? ... Tu seras pour moi unique au monde’’ which translates to: To establish ties? To me, you will be unique in the entire world.

Nib options
The nib of the Le Petit Prince fountain pens is adorned with an engraving of the delicate character of Le Petit Prince along with his friend the fox. The nibs of the Solitaire and the Doue fountain pens are made from 18kt gold, and the nib is bi-color, so the two characters are highlighted in gold, while the rest of the nib is coated with rhodium. The Regular edition has a 14kt gold rhodium coated nib. The pen comes standard with a Fine or Medium nib, but as an authorized Montblanc dealer we can offer all special nibs, from Extra Fine to Oblique nibs.

Filling mechanism
The Classique fountain pen uses the Montblanc cartridges, or the supplied Montblanc converter. The Le Grand fountain pen has a piston filling mechanism.
The ballpoint pen uses the standard Montblanc ballpoint refills, the Classique rollerball uses the standard Montblanc rollerball or fineliner refills, while the Le Grand Rollerball uses the Le Grand sized rollerball refills.
