President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. receives arrival honors at Camp Pablo Tecson as he leads the 73rd Founding Anniversary of the First Scout Ranger Regiment (FSRR) of the Philippine Army (PA), headed by Regiment Commander Brigadier General Isagani Criste, in San Miguel, Bulacan on November 25, 2023.
In commemoration of the occasion, the Commander-in-Chief lays a wreath at the Scout Rangers Monument to honor the sacrifices of four (4) fallen soldiers killed during military operations from last December 22 to July 2023.
Other highlights of the occasion include the FSRR capability demonstration, showcasing its anti-guerrilla warfare and counter-insurgency operations as part of the PA’s elite forces. Additionally, President Marcos Jr. will lead the conferment ceremony for exemplary Scout Rangers of FSRR.
Joining him are Department of Defense (DND) Secretary Gilberto Teodoro Jr., Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) Chief of Staff Romeo Brawner, Presidential Adviser on Military Affairs Secretary Roman Felix, PA Commanding General Lieutenant General Roy Galido and Philippine National Police (PNP) Chief Police Major General Benjamin Acorda Jr., among others.
