Receiving a Cancer diagnosis is already hard as it is. Then tackle the stresses of Chemotherapy, Immunotherapy, and surgeries in hopes of one day being in remission.
According to the American Cancer Society, approximately 650,000 people receive Chemotherapy per year. And people who get this treatment know that remission could come at the cost of losing their hair.
This week's CBS12 News 'Hometown Hero' is a Palm Beach County teenager raising money to help cancer patients keep their hair during chemo.
Justin Schoen turned 17 on the day CBS12 reporter Dani Travis interviewed him. He's a rising senior at Park Vista Community High School in Lake Worth.
