In this video, I want to share my honest experience and show you around this centre, so you can see what it’s like from my perspective. Every monastery and Vipassana centre has its own unique energy and teaching style, and it’s important to find the one that best supports your practice.

In this video, I take you on a tour of a Vipassana meditation centre I initially joined, only to realize that it wasn’t conducive to deepening my meditation practice. While the environment seemed interesting at first, the atmosphere and teaching didn’t align with what I was seeking. After a few days, I left to find a better monastery that I now consider the *BEST* on EARTH. (   • My Experience at 40-day Vipassana Meditati...  )

At the time of recording this video, I wasn’t aware that there were actually *two international Vipassana meditation centres* at this location, and it seems there was some tension between the two. The centre I joined catered primarily to foreigners, and the vibe was somewhat off—especially when it came to joining the traditional Thai Buddhist ceremonies or even meditating in the other monastery’s temples.

It was a strange experience that I wouldn’t repeat, as the foreigner section didn’t provide the authentic environment I needed for growth. If I were to return, I’d focus on studying directly with the *Thai teachers* at the other centre, which I believe offers a much more genuine meditation experience.
