In this episode I explore the magnificent Jaisalmer Fort, also known as the Golden Fort (Sonar Qila). This fort was built in 1156 AD by Rawal Jaisal and is one of the few living forts in the world where thousands of people still live inside the fort walls.
Located in the heart of the Thar Desert, the yellow sandstone of the fort shines like gold during sunrise and sunset, which is why it is called the Golden City of Rajasthan.
