How to: Clean and maintain (daily cleaning with HygieSteam)
1. Press the clean icon and 2. select HygieSteam
3. Press “START/STOP” button to start the process
4. Make sure the cappuccinatore is inserted and the spout door is closed
5. Connect the flexible milk tube to the cappuccinatore and press to confirm
6. Place the metal milk tube in its holder on the left side of the machine and press to confirm
7. After heating up, the cleaning process starts and steam is
released ! Caution: milk tube gets hot during/after HygieSteam !
Weekly cleaning of the milk system
1. Open the spout door and disconnect the flexible milk tube from the cappuccinatore
2. Remove the cappuccinatore by pulling it down and disassemble
all parts
3. Rinse all components with lukewarm water
4. Reassemble all parts and place back the cappuccinatore
6. Place back the cappuccinatore, moving it upward until it locks into place and close the spout door
Monthly cleaning of the milk system (Deep Milk Clean cycle with Philips milk circuit cleaner)
1. Select Deep Milk Clean and make sure the cappuccinatore is inserted and the spout door closed
2. Press START/STOP button to start the process
3. Fill the water tank up to the MAX level
5. Pour the contents of the circuit cleaner cachet
in the milk container
6. Fill the milk container with water to 600 ml level
7. Connect the flexible milk tube to the cappuccinatore
8. Place the metal milk tube back into the milk container
9. Place a container under the spout
10. After heating up, the Deep Milk Clean process starts: remove and empty the container
11. Rinse the milk container
12. Place the metal milk tube in its holder on the left side of the machine
13. Perform a HygieSteam by pressing the HygieSteam icon
14. After heating up, the cleaning process starts ! Caution: milk tube gets hot during and after HygieSteam !
Weekly cleaning of the brew group
1. Press the ON/OFF button to switch off the machine
2. Wait until you hear no more sounds, then press the main switch to OFF (O)
3. Remove the coffee grounds container
4. Open the service door
5. Open the residue drawer
6. Press the PUSH button to the side, hold it and pull the grip towards you
7. Rinse the brew group thoroughly with lukewarm water
8. Clean the upper filter carefully
9. Let the brew group air-dry
10. Do NOT use a cloth to prevent fibers from collecting inside the brew group
11. Rinse the residue drawer
12. Clean the inside of the machine with a damp cloth
13. To set the brew group in neutral position, the two arrow heads on the side need to match. If they do not match, push the lever down until it is in contact with the base.The arrows are now aligned. Check if the yellow locking hook is in the upper most position. Push the yellow hook upwards until you hear a click. Slide the brew group back along the rails until it locks into position
with a click. Place back the residue drawer. Close the service door. Place back the coffee grounds container
Monthly cleaning of the brew group: Use Philips CA6704 coffee
oil remover tablets for this cleaning cycle
1. Select Brew Group Clean
2. Press START/STOP button to start the cleaning process
3. Fill the water tank up to the MAX level and place it back
4. Put a coffee oil remover tablet in the pre-ground coffee compartment
5. Place a container under the spout
6. Press to start the cleaning process
7. The machine dispenses water at intervals
8. After successfully cleaned, remove and rinse the brew group and close the service door
Lubricating the brew group: Make sure the brew group is clean and air-dry before lubrication, then use Philips lubrication grease and apply a thin layer around the piston, the shaft of the brew group and to the rails on both sides
Cleaning the drip tray: Empty and clean the drip tray when the red indicator pops up: Remove and rinse the drip tray and place it back into the machine
Cleaning the coffee grounds container: Remove and empty the coffee grounds container (do this when the machine is switched on and indicates to empty it), Rinse the coffee grounds container and place it back
Cleaning the water tank: Remove the water tank, rinse the water tank and place back the water tank
