Indian Golden Jackal

Описание: Its fur ranges from golden-yellow to a rusty brown or grey, depending on the season and region. The Indian golden jackal thrives in forests, grasslands, villages, and even near cities — it’s one of India’s most adaptable wild canids. They eat almost anything — small mammals, birds, fruits, insects, and even human food waste. This flexible diet helps them survive in many habitats. They use a range of vocal sounds like howls, growls, and yips to communicate, especially at dusk and night. Mostly active at night, they often scavenge or hunt in the dark to avoid humans and heat. By eating carrion, they help keep the environment clean and control disease spread.
इका रंग मौसम और इलाके के अनुसार सुनहरा पीला, भूरा या स्लेटी हो सकता है। भारतीय सियार जंगलों, घास के मैदानों, गाँवों और यहाँ तक कि शहरों के पास भी आराम से रह सकता है। यह छोटे जानवरों, पक्षियों, फलों, कीड़ों और यहाँ तक कि मनुष्यों के छोड़े हुए भोजन तक खा लेता है। सियार जीवनभर एक ही साथी के साथ रहते हैं और दोनों मिलकर बच्चों की देखभाल करते हैं। यह प्रायः रात में सक्रिय रहते हैं ताकि गर्मी और इंसानों से बच सकें। मृत जानवरों को खाकर यह पर्यावरण को साफ रखने और बीमारियों के फैलाव को रोकने में मदद करते हैं। कई बार यह बाघ या तेंदुए के पीछे चलते हैं और उनके छोड़े हुए शिकार को खा लेते हैं।
