There’s a world of difference between encouraging and discouraging others. Both forces are powerful—capable of changing the lives of their recipients.

Encouragement puts the wind in our wings, while discouragement puts a weight on our shoulders.

Few examples in Scripture demonstrate Christlike encouragement like Barnabas. Pastor Chuck Swindoll exhorts us, from the book of Acts, to let encouragement mark our lives like it does the life of this commendable early church leader.
