Farmers protesting against the Centre's three farm laws say they will continue the sit-in outside the Mini Secretariat in Haryana's Karnal. The statement came hours after a second round of talks between farmer leaders and the Haryana government failed on Wednesday.
Samyukta Kisan Morcha (SKM), the farmers' union spearheading the protest, has been demanding the suspension of former Karnal sub-divisional magistrate (SDM) Ayush Sinha.
Sinha courted controversy after a video of him instructing police officers to "break the heads" of protesting farmers went viral on social media. Farmers claim at least 10 protesters were injured when the police used force to prevent them from reaching the venue of a BJP event in Karnal.
