The tropical fire ants or scientifically known as Solenopsis geminata is one of the most dominant ant species in the world. It is spread through human transport of soil and other suitable nesting materials or naturally by their nuptial flights.
Currently, I have caught two fire ant queens from our yard. Same location and time, but surprisingly, they have different strategies of raising their colony. A little bit weird.
