Button's Bridge Lullaby - a Granny Marsha bedtime story 🌛
----------
Button the Red Panda stepped into the quiet evening. Moonlight painted the leaves silver and crickets sang a gentle tune. He adjusted his bright teal glasses and listened to the soft wind.
On the path a little wooden bridge crossed a tinkling stream. The planks lay very still, like they were fast asleep, and the water hummed beneath. A small sign said the bridge only woke for songs, not for footsteps.
Button felt a flutter in his tummy. He wanted to visit his friend Owlina who waited on the other side, but he didn't know if he could sing loud. He hugged his satchel and remembered how the star on his sweater twinkled.
He tried a tiny hum at first, a whisper of sound. The stream answered with a soft bubble and a frog croaked a kind beat. The trees rustled like tiny clapping hands and Button smiled a little.
He took a deep breath and sang a lullaby he knew from home. His teal glasses caught the moon and blinked like two little lamps. The notes floated across the bridge like glowing stepping stones.
The bridge yawned and the planks stretched awake with soft creaks. It sang back with warm wooden sounds that felt friendly. Button walked slowly and the water hummed a happy tune below.
On the other side Owlina squeaked with delight and hugged Button gently. They shared a cozy biscuit and watched fireflies blink like tiny stars. Button thanked the bridge and waved to the frogs and trees that had helped him.
When the night grew softer he walked home with a sleepy heart. He tucked his satchel by the bed, folded his glasses, and snuggled down. He smiled, whispered "good night", and drifted off happy and content.
