In the Netherlands, GD Animal Health has been commissioned to monitor animal health by the Dutch Ministry of Economic Affairs and the Producer organisations and interbranch organisations. With its multidisciplinary laboratory, abundant veterinary expertise and extensive information network all under one roof, GD Animal Health was the obvious choice. The density of intensive livestock in the Netherlands is very high, so monitoring is essential. Our country has 16 million people, 4 million cattle, 1.5 million sheep and goats, 16 million poultry and 14 million pigs.
