Found Trail Cam Hurricane Ian *updated

Описание: Our home away from home is in Fort Myers Beach, FL where Hurricane Ian delivered a devastating blow. On October 11, I left Toronto with a great friend to make the 29 hour drive to Florida. We arrived at our home to find it still standing. Much damage but completely fixable.

When digging through the mounds of sand and debris, I came across a trail cam. It was very damaged and waterlogged but I noticed the switch was in the on position. I managed to take the SD cam out, dried it off and cleaned up the connectors. When I returned to our AirBNB I was excited to see if the card would still work. After trying for a half hour, the card would simply not mount.

2 days later, I gave it one more try before throwing it out. Popped the card in my MacBook, wiggled it around a little and boom - it popped up on my desktop.

This footage is mostly a timelapse of the 1.5 hours of individual clips from the storm. It appears to be from a garage or main level beach bar sort of room.

This is an awe inspiring look at the power of storm surge. Heartbreaking time for Southwest Florida.
