Situated in Nekkies, Knysna in the Western Cape region of South Africa, Judah Square is the second largest Rastafarian community in South Africa. The Rastafarian community forms part of our African heritage & Cannabis has always played an integral role in the Rastafarian traditions & religious practrices. In this video series we will take a deeper look into the lives of these communities. Over decades the Rastafarian community had to deal with the prohibition of Cannabis through oppression from authorities. We will explore how this battle contributed towards shaping new laws in South Africa which benefit everyone.
On this episode we will look go back to the era of prohibition and look at the battle the Rastafari had to fight in South Africa, and how it has contributed towards policies which benefit the entire nation.
