Parambikulam Tiger reserve is a gorgeous jungle that is surrounded by the mighty mountains of the Western Ghats and is made up of many natural water reservoirs. It's diverse habitat ranging from hilly terrain, wooded forests, bamboo thickets to reservoirs is home to a wide range of flora and fauna.
Even though the tiger reserve is in Kerala, its access is via Tamil nadu and that is what makes it even more special. It is connected with the Anaimalai tiger reserve of Tamil Nadu and is extremely popular for its elephants, Indian Gaurs, tigers, leopards, hornbills and many other species.
In this video, you can see the Malabar whistling thrush and hear its beautiful whistling call. This is mother nature at its very best. And we saw and heard this Malabar whistling thrush while walking deep inside the jungle trails of Parambikulam tiger reserve.
