This video is about Sonja's first journey on a Paddleboard, after months of paddling inland on lakes and sheltered bays, in preparation.
Menai Bridge to Moel y Don and through the iconic Swellies, Anglesey, North Wales, on a light wind day, neaps tide and the start of the ebb.
Costal Spirit has been providing sea kayaking courses for over 10 years along the North Wales and Anglesey coastline from Introduction to Advanced paddlers. Roger is also an advanced sea kayak leader trainer and assessor, who has a great depth, understanding and respect for the sea, plus local knowledge. In the last two years Roger has been exploring the coastline by paddleboard and been enjoying the new challenge this provides.
The Menai Straits is an amazing stretch of water which is like a salty river and has a bank either side and number of access and egress points, so on the right day this is a perfect introduction to journeying on the sea.
