Adidas SL20 review: Multi-tester look at the first shoe to feature Lightstrike foam

Описание: The Adidas SL20 is the first running shoe to move away from Boost and feature Adidas' new Lightstrike midsole foam. It's a lightweight training shoe with a 10mm drop, a mesh upper, a torsion plate – but no carbon plate – and is designed to for faster miles.

It drops in at a very reasonable £100 to compete with the likes of the HOKA Rincon, Nike Zoom Fly 3 and Brooks Hyperion Tempo. So how does it perform on the run? UPDATE: In the video we mention that Lightstrike is made from TPU. We've since had new information from Adidas that it is, in fact, EVA. Adidas told us: "Lightstrike is a Compression Molded (CM) lightweight EVA Foam. It is not made from TPU. The innovation with Lightstrike came with achieving a lower density of foam particles/cell walls while still keeping the high resilience values (giving that responsive feeling and high energy return)."
