Texas DPS holds news conference on fatal officer-involved shooting in Orange following chase Tuesday

Описание: DPS is holding a news conference on a Tuesday morning chase and fatal officer-involved shooting that left one man dead.

The police chase along Texas Highway 87 in Bridge City ended in Orange with a deadly shootout with police that left one man dead.

The chase ended near the intersection of 15th St. and Green Ave. near the West Orange-Stark Middle School campus.

The school was put on lockdown following the shooting.

One man died at the scene after being shot by officers following the chase, according to Detective Colton Havard, of the Orange County Sheriff's Office.

A live video streamed to Facebook by a man from Orange captured the fatal shootout.
