Tribute to Winter's Gate (Insomnium Acoustic Cover)

Описание: Winter's Gate is the seventh studio album by the Finnish melodic death metal band Insomnium. It was released worldwide on September 23, 2016 via Century Media Records. It is a single 40-minute concept album said to be about “a group of Vikings who set out to find a fabled island west of Ireland, despite the treacherous winter drawing near.”

That album is really one of my all-time-favourite albums. The impact the story, the music, the musicianship and whole concept made me was so big, I had to put my effort in it.
Of course it is a ridiculous thing to make a 5-minute-cover of 40-minute album, but that's just not the case really. That's only my own humble tribute to an album I consider one of the greatest in modern metal. My version obviously pictures only a short fragment of the Winter's Gate story.

The Winter's Gate story bands vocalist and bassist Niilo Sevänen has written, is not only a bunch of vikings getting slaughtered in Ragnarök. It's much deeper. There is greed, there is excitement.. It's about regret, compassion and fear... It really fells deep into you especially when you read it with Insomnium's music in back ground. (Not my version, the real Insomnium album version )
