Cheerleading routines are what each team works on, at varying age groups and ability levels.

*Our experience of this age group (from BASC Director Helena):
This age group loves the FUN of putting together a routine with their new team members. Routines include music, tumbling, stunting, jumps, pyramids and more. Everyone has an important role to play. If your little one is shy or nervous, have no fear - their confidence will grow with cheer. We know how to nurture their skills and our coaches work with each athlete, to help bring out their very best. Each athlete will feel successful within the team.

*Working together and building confidence:
We emphasise teamwork and friendship within each team, in an age appropriate way. For this age group, they cheer one another one, give positive encouragement, learn to take turns and begin to understand about a growth mindset e.g. if someone else can do it, I can do (not getting discouraged). Some key feedback from parents is that they love to see the confidence of their children grow throughout the year.

*Stay Active
Does your little one get bored easily? Cheerleading is the perfect activity. It combines dance, gymnastics and acrobatics all into one.
