For 2026 on #SuperOldGameSaturday, we have a new monthly initiative called #SuperOldGameSaturday Scoping Sessions focusing on giving a first look at really long games, many that could be their Part 1 when we come back to them. That's certainly the case with our debut subject, 2000's Skies of Arcadia, a Dreamcast role-playing game from Sega and Overworks about air pirates, namely, Vyse and Aika, two childhood friends within the Blue Rogues, who rob from the rich Valuan Empire and seek further adventures across the skies. When a job results in them finding a mysterious girl named Fina, the stakes are raised as Vyse and Aika find themselves going to new locations and meeting new friends and foes. This is an underrated game that I've mentioned on the show more times than I can count, so I was really wanting to show it and had a great time bringing it to you in what will be Part 1 when we return to it (and I'm figuring out when we can come back to it, because this was too great a time). Along with giving a rarely seen look at the interface of the Homepage (exclusive to this version), we started this with my grinding Dreamcast at my side, letting us know when battles were afoot, along with lots of activity in our best chat on Twitch, including the debut of cool_soap, whose deep and thoughtful insights and questions (along with those of DollyFinn and others) really show what our program is all about and why I still love doing it. Also, given how expensive both this Dreamcast original and its 2003 Gamecube edition, Skies of Arcadia Legends run for nowadays, we're hoping that this can get a modern re-release to bring this great game to more people. I thank all of our great chat for joining us and making our first Scoping Sessions show a great one, and thank all of you for watching us here on YouTube.
