Practice_1.12.26_Playing Quartal Harmony

Описание: Purpose: Practice and start to lock-in quartal harmony.

Key: G (ii-V-I)

Notes:
-for the purpose this served, this practice was effective. I worked with the G7 quartal harmony progression. Safe to say those three positions are locked in. Successful.
-I worked the Dm7 and Cmaj7 arpeggios here. I should get back to scales too (especially Lydian), so I can access those freely.
-I was frustrated throughout because I couldn’t seem to break out of the same melody. Clearly means I wasn’t feeling the music. Whenever I practice pieces for the purpose of drilling, the music comes out wonky. I kept going for the sake of the quartile practice.
-tough day, and it translated to my demeanor and music.

Other notes:
-I’ve been drilling the enclosure and starting in other places within the arpeggios. I think that specifically it will help me develop other sounds.  my jazz lines all seem to sound the same -  I need to start developing some variety in melody.
-songwriting lyrics is taking kind of a backseat while I build up my tech skills again.  I’ll work it back in at some point.
