Abstract:
Brain is the most important organ for us, and it is our central workstation. But have you ever checking your brain and figure down what statuses it is? Have it telling you what its feeling is?
Nowadays, people (and even chronically ill patients) may be at the onset in country-sides and even secluded places, their onsets can hardly be discovered, so that they cannot receive the immediate relieves or rescues. Most likely, their consequences are suffering from a serious sequel and even causing to death. There are average 80 cases that people death due to the delay of rescue every year. If we can understand the password of our brain statuses and the intimate location of the problematic brain, I believe that many victims can receive instant rescue, and hence saving their lives. In addition, most chronically ill patients and elderlies have the problems of their health, and was forced to stay at home or hospital, also there is someone in charge of take care of them around the clock, doing outdoor activities might be an extravagant lifestyle to them.
As a result, we hope to achieve the following mission:
✧ Real-time monitoring user’s brainwaves
✧ Analysis and determine user’s health statuses
✧ Tracing user’s statuses and GPS location
✧ Conduct corresponding rescue system if there is emergency situation, let users receive instant support
Therefore we designed and developed our system, Mind Foot Print (MFP), which included 4 parts: 1.MFP APPs (smartphone APPs) 2.MFP Server Program 3. MFP Website (an interactive website) 4. Google cloud storage. With our system, we can measure and analysis people brainwaves with people current GPS locations, and determine what statuses people is. All those data will uploaded to Google cloud storage and MFP server. Hence, our service administrator can monitor the health statuses of all user. Most importantly, once there is emergency situation, such is user is in epilepsy, in coma. The administrator can notified at once and our server program will send a rescue SMS to rescue team automatically. Moreover all the user’s brainwave data and their location or route can be shown on MFP Website (http://www.stfa-yyc.edu.hk/it/MFP/ ) .Last but not least, Users’ brainwaves, health statuses and GPS locations can be stored in Google Cloud for further medical analysis. With all this we can hence achieve the mission above.
