Regularity + Short Rally Kasterlee 2019 - SS5: Reties Heike 3 (regularity all cars, rally first 40)

Описание: Rally starts at 9:16, results below || The 5th stage of the Short Rally van Kasterlee 2019, preceded by the Regularity van Kasterlee. The regularity had the exact same stages as the short rally so this was their third time on this place. The rally is only included until around car nr 40 (my battery died and then I started charging it again to film the last stage of the rally).

Standings after this stage: Piet van Hoof is leading, 38.91 seconds ahead of Erik van Loon (who was doing very well but lost time on this stage). On the 3rd place for now is Martin van Iersel with +1:09.78 on van Hoof.

Mats van den Brand (223) had engine problems all day. They didn't find the cause in the services and he eventually decided to retire on this stage to avoid damaging the engine. Afterwards the cause appeared to be a broken battery.

So in Historic, Bert Swerts is now first (P10 overall), followed by Declerck on +46.02 and Neskens on +53.18.

Leader after this stage: San Van den Wyngaert (R31) - Volkswagen Corrado 16V with a total penalty of 1.047. He was 11th on this stage (avg 46,44 km/h, 0.094 penalty).
On the second and third place: Gonzo van Den Bogerd (R22) - Daihatsu Rocky 2.8td - penalty 1.217 (was 6th on this stage with avg 46,53 km/h and 0.034 penalty) and Serge Verhaeghe (R17) - Audi Coupe - penalty 1.392 (8th on this stage with avg 46,54 km/h 0.062 penalty).
Van den Wyngaert managed to keep his leader position and eventually won the event with 1.435 penalty points, van den Bogerd also remained second and ended with 1.723 points, but on the third place we now see Patrick Meeus with 1.766 points. (Serge Verhaeghe ended 4th.)

Only 1 from the 32 cars didn't complete the event: Seppe Verstegen (R21) with his Citroën 2CV. He was 21st on this stage (avg 46.65 km/h, penalty 0.312). Watch this car at 4:45 and 5:52 in this video.

I'm not quite used to a regularity competition so I don't really know how this classification works, I just copied it from the pdf document.

Next video: SS7 Reties Heike 4, all cars from the short rally, again on the same place but closer towards the corner at the left where the clips now end.
