Описание: Hi everyone! Welcome back and welcome if you are new here! I found a spotted lanternfly here in Ohio. The Lanternfly feeds on the sap of plants. This insect is a native to Asia and was spotted in Ohio in 2020. This invasive insect is leading to copious production of a new type of honey. When the lanternfly excretes honeydew (a sticky, sugary liquid), the honeybees really like the honeydew. It is an unexpected benefit for beekeepers, but not for the environment.
